The Story
behind it all.
"I have always had sensitive skin. My face easily breaks out, and is red most of the time. I'm pretty sure I've got Perioral Dermatitis too. I've tried to buy special moisturizers in stores, but they always ended up burning my face and making it worse. After doing my research, I knew exactly what I wanted to put on my face. Something clean, and preferably with olive oil in it- I remember reading about how some believe that using olive oil on the face was used by ancient Egyptians and was the key to aging beautifully! So thus began the journey of trying to find the perfect moisturizer for my type of skin.
As I continued to search, I found that almost all moisturizers, or serums, contain Vitamin C- an ingredient that agitates my face. Any serum I could find that didn't contain Vitamin C, didn't have olive oil in it. After trying to find a qualified serum and failing, I just went ahead and decided to make my own!
I started out with multiple prototypes until I created the perfect one that was exactly what I was looking for- long lasting, moisturizing, and most importantly, all natural and clean. This was the perfect combination for my type of skin;
The essential oils are a great and natural way to treat the irritated skin on my face, the sunflower oil gives me that glow that I love, the Glycerin moisturizes my face and keeps it that way, and then my personal favorite, the olive oil to help age beautifully! Also, since my serum contains all these ingredients, it also acts as a great alternative for sunscreen!
At the end of all of this, I figured there's probably a lot of other people out there who are in the same predicament as I was in- trying to search for a moisturizer, or serum, that's reliable and all natural. Since I'm also a musician, I went ahead and decided to market it as my beauty line! Each and every day I am working on new ideas and products for this line. Some future possibilities include a natural lash serum, organic lip balm made from local beeswax and even all natural deodorant! This is just the very beginning of this new clean adventure!
